New Friends to the Foundation

E-mail Print PDF

September 15, 2013 was a very special day for the Foundation.  We just launched a website for the Lesbian community to go and find events that they would be safe attending. If we do not begin to love all the older generations and listen to what we have to say now, then people like my father, his history and his legacy would disappear into the dying memories of his friends and family.  I met these people on my return from the GAY on the Square event that the wonderful Gay community that I am personally involved in, sang their hearts out and entertained peope from all over, and I found it so touching when my new friends from Belgium said how wonderful the music was today.  Thank you for coming to Portland and seeing the good.

ANGER . . Who knew I was so angry? My friends did.

Part of my past two week learning experience is how angry I am.  Yes, even Cindy harbors a deep level of anger, some good, some not so healthy.  I have been working on the not so healthy.

Stash Tea Company

Blogging has not been my priority the last three months, as many know I got really sick so I have been on the mending phase of my life and focusing on exhibits until I felt back to the old Cindy Surendorf.  I knew I was better when I was asked by Fort Vancouver High School to come in May to do a block printing workshop, and my excitement was peaked once again!

Happy New Year . . . I know it is February, oops!

Where did January go?  Happy New Year.  I know I am late in a 2013 beginning blog, but time becomes endless in the discovery of art history and the planning of a well-deserved student art show coming this February.
